How to: Configure MCI drivers.
Solution:
In the 'Control Panel' window, double-click the 'Multimedia' icon. Click the 'Advanced' tab and double-click 'Media Control Devices' in the 'Multimedia devices' list box. Select an MCI driver to configure and click 'Properties'. Click 'Settings...' and make the desired changes to the MCI driver.
1) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
2) Select 'Settings' and select 'Control Panel'. (The 'Control Panel' window appears.)
3) Double-click the 'Multimedia' icon. (The 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box appears.)

4) Click the 'Advanced' tab. (The 'Advanced' tabbed page appears.)
5) Double-click 'Media Control Devices' in the 'Multimedia devices' list box. (The branch expands, showing all installed MCI device drivers.)

6) Select the MCI driver to configure.
7) Click 'Properties'. (The MCI '<driver> Properties' dialog box appears, where <driver> is the selected MCI driver.)
8) Click 'Settings...'. (The appropriate properties dialog box appears.)

NOTE: The 'Settings' button may not be available, indicating that there are no settings associated with the selected MCI driver.
9) Make the desired changes to the MCI driver and click 'OK' to close the dialog box.
10) Click 'OK' to close the MCI '<driver> Properties' dialog box (where <driver> is the selected MCI driver).
11) (Optional) Repeat steps 6) through 10) to configure other MCI drivers.
12) Click 'OK' to close the 'Multimedia Properties' dialog box.
13) Select the 'File' menu and select 'Close' to close the 'Control Panel' window.
